Help Matt With CollegeMatt's take on interesting news. Merger Would End Satellite Radio's Rivalryhttp://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/20/business/media/20radio.html The nation's two satellite radio services, Sirius and XM, announced plans yesterday to merge, a move that would end their costly competition for radio personalities and subscribers but that is also sure to raise antitrust issues. My View: While satellite radio is a great technology, I think the digital music market (i.e. MP3s) has taken too much of the market already. This merger will certainly help the two companies in this intensely competitive market, I think it is just too little, too late.
